No pressure or anything
Well along with my recent life being crazy with work and deadlines (including getting some calcs out today), as well as preparing for a HUGE professional life altering test in ten days . . . one of my reception venues called today. Someone was interested in the room that we had a hold on. We have 48 hours to decide (noon on Thursday) what to do.
The venue is the Cincinnati Bengals stadium (Paul Brown Stadium), and it’s one of my favorite choices. It faces the city with floor to ceiling windows, and is super nice.
Luckily, my maid of honor lives in town, and wonderful person that she is, she will be heading down there tomorrow to look at it for me.
Even though we’re not huge Bengals fans . . . okay . . . not Bengals fans at all, we both love football. And it’s super nice and surprisingly affordable. It was seriously my #1 choice.
If we want it, we have to put down $1,000 deposit. AHHH!!!
For those of you who have planned weddings or made mental notes when attending weddings, what concerns would you have looking at a reception venue?
We are also trying to weigh our options and compare other venues that we had planned on looking at during our visit to Cincinnati in a month:
Union Terminal (Huge old train station, converted into a museum, art deco style)
Cintas Center (Xavier University’s basketball arena, new and modern looking, affordable)
Kingsgate Marriott (on UC’s campus, modern looking, would have hotel rooms on premises)
Hilton Netherland (gorgeous art deco building in downtown, rather expensive)
Seriously, no pressure . . .
P.S. If you’re so inclined, you can go to their website and look at more photos and take a virtual tour. Or look at our other choices.
